My love for Ti is getting a bit silly...
But....I’ve seen these and want to know real life experience of running one with wagon wheels...
Seems a cracking price for a slack long HT 😀
Pics or it din’t happen...!

+1 on the question, anyone running one in 29er?
Interested here 🙂 and what's largest 650b tyre have you got in?
I'm running mine in 29er guise, with a hans dampf on the front and nobby nic rear, its v quick on the downs with a very forgiving rear end (this maybe partly due to tyre pressures), before I bought the frame I had read about the BB being too high as a 29er, maybe its me but with my skillset it seems absolutely fine, I wouldnt want it too much lower due to cranks striking rocks etc. Goes well on the ups too, I have a fairly light set of wheels (DTSwiss hubs with WTB I23 rims) so this may help. Tbh its great fun and chuckable despite the larger wheels. Sort of point and shoot over anything. 12.7kg with fox performance forks, thomson dropper, 50mm stem, zee cranks, funn bars, 10 speed. Built mine up using mainly spare parts, could be made lighter still fairly easily. Havent tried 650b wheels. Lost a cable clip during an event at the weekend hence the big loop near the steerer tube.
Update... (well, second update, as i started another thread with the finished item!)
I got a large frame in the end; swapped all my bits across from the Chromag Rootdown frame, and took it for a blast..
I love the thing - it’s pretty long, but still nimble and chuckable.. One of the things i loved about the Rootdown was the ‘poppy nature’ of it - the X2 is very similar despite being a fair bit longer.
And though I’ve no experience of running it 650b, the 29er wheels (flow mk3 rims, 2.35 HDs) are great in it. I had mild reservations about the higher BB height, but TBH, it rides like a bike so I’m happy!!
I immediately felt confident and ‘at home’ on it..a good sign!

I be suspicious about running 27in none-plus wheels in a frame that will take a 29in wheel.
It cant be optimal for both wheel sizes surely...
And if it is then why are all 29er frames not marketed also for 27in wheels?
This smacks of... "lets market this one setup to as many people of possible"
I had the same question for Chris at Kingdom.
Frame numbers are based around 150mm 27.5'' so I requested geo numbers based on 29'' wheels and 130mm or 140mm travel. Never got back to me. I imagine it'll trough the BB height well out... otherwise it looks great and is priced very keenly.
Any idea on the BB height of your setup DrP? How's it compare to the Rootdown?
I like the sound of this frame, but lack of geo info for 29" is quite off-putting. Static dims of 150mm forks on 27.5" wheels are quite different from sagged number with 130mm forks and 29" wheels.
Cokie - I genuinely was planning on measuring the true BB height of the Rootdown, then comparing this to the BB height of the X2 (with teh same forks, wheels, headset etc).
However, my 3 year old daughter loves playing with my tape measures (i found one in the boot of a little scoot along car today!) , and I got excited about swapping the stuff over, so never got round to measuring to compare!
I could measure the X2 setup for you if you want? However, I can say that the only real difference I can tell in comparison to the Rootdown is the bike is a tad longer, and a tad lighter.
The BB height is 'unnoticable' for me, so i guess it's not that big a difference...

Wow, nice update! Thanks nt80085 and DrP for your update. I pre-ordered size M and planning to build it in 29er since I have a 27.5 FS.
Looking forward to more update from you guys before mine arrives.
Could anyone post photos of their kingdoms with 29 wheels? I'm interested in a 29er titanium hardtail and was considering the vendetta X2 or the nordest bardino. The nordest frame is 300€ more expensive but has a significantly lower bb.
I have a jeffsy 29 and the bb drop in the low position is 32mm and i already have a lot of pedal strikes, but i believe that the behavior of the geometry is different when ridding an FS or an HT.
What do you think?
I too was looking at the Nordest...
I liked the fact Kingdom have UK agents, and the cost difference.
Honestly, if you can tell the BB height difference, then you're a more sensitive rider than I am!!

Large frame.

If you want, I can measure the BB height on my Surface (pretty much identical to the Rootdown)
Running 29 wheels and 2.3 mavic tyres (though I cant get the rear tyre to seal with this weird blue sealant)
EDIT: on Chromag site, it says Rootdown BB height is 328mm and Surface is 320mm.
THat might be one of the newer Rootdowns, perhaps? BA '17 or something...
Anyway.. it rides great..I don't get too bogged down with the minutiae!

Here's mine. XL with Fox 34 @ 130mm. Easton X5 wheels (had 'em cheap, and have DT XM1501s for the plus set up). Note that my bike has a 1.5° HA reducer in. It is normally a GX Eagle build but I snapped a chain last week and haven't received the replacement yet.
Took the photo yesterday at the colline d'Elancourt near Paris (Eiffel Tower is tiny and inline with my saddle, and the river is the Seine). This former quarry and then rubbish dump is to be the site of the 2024 Olympic MTB course. It soars some 50m over the surrounding forests and commercial centres, and feels every bit a former rubbish dump.
The bike is cool though.

Guys, what is the max Tyre width that can fit in the rear? In 29 inch wheel. I know the website says up to 2.35
