We will be in touch
Do any of you know what the plan is regarding the bag drops as this racing lark is all new to me.
Do we take our own bags?
What size is acceptable?
Do they need to be sealed?
I'm guessing we will register for the race on the afternoon & get our numbers then which we will attach / write on the bags & then drop them off on the Friday night riders briefing.
Also I'm guessing that we will get them back on the Saturday night after they have all been collected from the various feed stations.
Any thoughts??
I would say you are guessing about right, you should definitely seal it. You don't want to get to the last bag drop and realise that the food you have been thinking about for an hour has fallen out of your bag.
Its on the site, sandwich bag sized, own bags, write the number on them once you have registered.
Bag drops with your own food in will be taken to Feed Stations 1, 2 and 4. Bags must be no bigger than a large sandwich/freezer bag, securely fastened with your rider number clearly written on and placed in the correct container at the rider briefing. Bags will be returned to HQ at the end of the day.No liquids please. If every rider put a 500ml bottle of liquid in their drop bags, that's 900kg of liquid we're transporting, on top of the 1000+litres of water and energy drink we're already providing!

Why guess, when you can read? 🙂
I'm sure I remember people using A4 plastic wallet things (for putting into ring binders) last year.
I'm not sure about the getting them back - I'd assumed that they meant the ziploc disposable type. But I may well be wrong.
Also the website says 'large' sandwich bag so that's open to some interpretation 😉
Cheers. 🙄
I was asking about getting them back as I might shot a spare tube in each.
