I know this is a contencious (Sp?) issue, but.........

We went and bought a rear seat for the bike to enable us to enjoys the local cycle tracks. We also obviously got a helmet for our daughter. We got the Met Elfo head size 46-53cm. Turns out its too big. So far as I can find, theres; the spesh small fry and the casco mini pro that go down to a 44cm size.

Does anybody have any experience with these - or should we just put her hat on under it?

And btw, she's just turned 1 and has plenty of neck strength.

We have both a Bell and a Met. Met seems better IIRC.

If it doesn't fit its usefulness is seriously compromised possibly to the point at which it becomes counterproductive. Fit is all.

My lad's head was too big for the 1st one we got, a giro something from Merlin, so they go quite small.
Edit- found it, the ME 2. It says 50-55cm on the merlin page, but it's not, it's smaller than 50 cm max.

We bought a little Giro for our daughter she's just 2 and quite small head and fits well, it has elastic at the rear of the harness rather than a ratchet of sorts.
