So - after a warm sunny day riding past fields of flowering rape, I'm pondering blowing £20 on the bug mesh grid to fit in my Kask Mojito. Anyone got one? Just a gimmick or useful for avoiding that creepy crawly head sensation?

Not been a problem for me and my XL Mojito. No creepy crawlies in 2 years.
It was pretty much the first thing I noticed when I got a Mojito - constantly sucking bugs in. First ride had a very nervous few minutes with a bee in there going mental until I could pull over safely and let the thing out.
Didn't realise they did a bug mesh so watching this with interest.
I have a casco hat with a mesh on it - it's the main reason I chose it
works great, as far as I can tell
Got a Catlike that has a mesh fitted, only comment is I can't scratch my head thru the vents. Only ever scooped up a wasp once in years of riding, so didn't buy the catlike because of the mesh.
Got stung on the belly by a bee though. During a fast descent. Whacked me on the neck, must have been dazed and fell inside my top and several minutes later stung me.
I lifted my top to see Mr bumble humping away, pumping me full of his nasty.
