Hey Mike how's things?Just thought i'd let you know i have finally joined the full suss ranks!!Though in my defence there are mitigating circumstances.Ongoing back problems last year came to a head in November.Pains i were getting were a mystery to the doctors so x rays were ordered.Turns out i had 2 crushed vertebrae in my spine! Some calcification of the bones was noticed so a bone density scan was ordered.Turns out i have Osteoporosis. After i recovered from the news took a look at my future riding.Specialist thinks the jarring from vigorous walking would help or maybe jogging.Mtbing?hmmmm TOO MUCH jarring WTF?????After talking with my GP i (also a MTBer)he thinks specialist was covering himself but for the immediate future have to ride accordingly.
So it would seem Canada etc are out for the time being. But had the chance of a decent 2nd hand Kona Four Supreme frame which is now built up and waiting for the summer .Meanwhile the Hummer has some longer travel forks and my wife has inherited the Handjob!
What about you ?Off to Whistler again soon?Or a new destination?

It's like I've got a crossed line and accidentally listened to someone I don't know talking dirty. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Mikey74 was certainly posting up until Nov. He came up to Stainburn last year (maybe late summer) and loved it. He then posted whenever anyone asked a Stainburn question, hence me knowing the above. Haven't spotted that name since the new forum tho.

Hi mate,

Sorry to hear about the osteoporosis, but really glad to hear you are still riding and have a new bike.

I am aiming to go back to Whistler again this year: A friend of mine is moving to Vancouver in April so going to spend some time with him after I have holidayed with T2R in Whistler.
I have heard from Ciaran too who is going to be a guide for T2R this year so would be good to catch up with him again. It's a shame you can't join me this year, but maybe next time.

Take care and enjoy the riding.
