A couple of us from Cardiff way are tempted to book a day's tuition with Jedi in the new year sometime after seeing all the glowing reviews on here.
It’s a fair way to go for just a day so wondered if there is anywhere to ride nearby so we can go practice what we've learnt the day after and make more of a trip of it!
Finally anyone got a link to the website, can't seem to find it on Google (seem to recall it being called something other than Jedi!)

Chicksands is up the a1 about half an hour. Woburn is not far off either. Have a look online for both. Would recommend chicksands as Woburn is difficult to find the good trails unless you know where you are going

That sounds awesome! Could be interesting depending on the time of year we maange to book in!
Woburn is good for a few hours of riding. Start off with the freeride stuff then if/when you get bored of that go and explore the singletrack. By this time you'll be ready to ride the freeride bits again 🙂
Aston hills not to far away
there's woburn, chicky, aston, thetford etc... some stay in b+b's or hotels nearby and others camp at herts 🙂

Mtb ride Wales , only 10 mins from cwmcarn, not used them myself only just found out about them .
Cardiff, whatever you do.. Stay the -embarassing word- away from Aston.
Agree with Buttercup, even more so if its wet.
Aston will hand your ass back to you on many occasions in one run if it feels like it.
