And finally fitted some tyres to my main bike that are more suitable for the current conditions!

Previously had been running a proper set of dry conditions tyres (Micehlin Dry 2 in 2.3" flavour) but after last weekends ride it was finally time to concede that the ground is too soft and the tyres were washing out too much. Was amazed to get to mid October before needing to fit something with more tread though, as they really are quite a sparsely treaded fast tyre!

Anyone else still running some seriously under treaded rubber?

I was still running my Michelin Dry 2's front and back though mate... To be fair, on the rear it wasn't so bad, could probably keep it on there for a few more weeks, but on the front as soon as I hit anything soft (which is a lot of ground now round our way) the front would just wash out... Tyres with side knobbles needed fitting!

I'm still suffering from the crash that had me take my SB8's off a few weeks ago. 2.1 Nev / Blue Groove my favourite proper tyre.

It's still pretty dry a few miles up the M5 too buzz lightyear, it's just that where I ride mostly the ground retains water, so it has softened up somewhat given the rain in the last few weeks.
