The extra mud kicked up by my fatty means I need a back pack that is wipe clean and has a sturdy waist belt with big pockets. We sell these backpacks in our shop which fulfills the wipe clean bit. I bought a waist pack from decathlon then cut the middle pocket off and sewed on Velcro. More Velcro went on the backpack and I'm in business.
Will sew some more Velcro on my Alpkit Gourdon and then I can swap the waist pockets between bags.
