Rip round over Yair this morning with Mrsstu to kick the weekend off for us.
Show us where you've been riding?

Not helpful, but I did Cutgate yesterday and forgot to take my phone (camera). It was a glorious day too, so I would have got some good ones! On the plus side I didn’t crash and find myself unable to call for help…

I rode up and down the road on this. Note it has no brakes. I am however rather proud to say that I had just built the back wheel, my first. It’s a vintage Zipp 440 rim that I removed from a Dura Ace road hub and laced to a new DT track hub. Went rather smoothly, and being two cross was straightforward. Even trying in an upside down bike with a brake as a guide was successful!

Over the moors on Friday to Shibden and Elland woods. Not ridden proper corners for a long time, bit of a shock!

ride

Just took the new bike out for a test ride this evening. Loving being back on FS, even on the tame bridleways and fields it feels so much nicer not being bumped around by tractor tyre ruts etc!

No stunning pics, but did a 25 mile tour of some of the local best bits. 2 pints in Bakewell, a pint in Birchover and a couple of pints at my local when I finished

Golfie rip with Mrsstu this morning.
As always a bit dark for photos in the trees.
Wet and grippy with random greasy as **** patches.
Had a small lie down after punching a tree.

Interesting, never been over there but it's not far away - might have to go for a gander. No photos for me this weekend, riding locally and already got a billion photos of round here.

There should be a link to how to actually post images to the forum with every thread that is about pcitures!  Tried searching the forum (hahahaha! I;m such an optimist), tried the IMG button. Nope.

So you'll just have to imagine the lovely pics of the Peak District around Hayfield, Rowarth and Lantern Pike.
It was a great day to be out.

A few laps of Comrie Blue with mrs_oab and a jaunt on some of the Red alone. Rather too heavy rain showers 🙁

Hmmm... Wonder why the first image works fine but I can't post the second?

Anyway, little pootle round the park timed well to see the air ambulance lifting off, but you don't get to see that picture unfortunately!

Fun in the FoD today. Grippy or greasy and no way of knowing which it was until it was too late.

New wheels added to the gravel bike and a nice 30mile test ride round the New Forest…..

followed by new forks on the hard tail and some local trails to test - quite impressed so far!

A seriously creaky bike after a couple of runs down San Marino off Winter Hill meant a shorter ride than planned today.

Thankfully I have a spare set of wheels with me and my week off isn't stuffed.

I give up, no idea why I can't post the picture (honestly it hasn't happened before)

......it's a cracked rear hub axle.

Most pleasant day exploring Surrey Hills with MrsReady.  The day was nearly ruined by an absolute tool, dressed like a Power Ranger on a full fat Eeb* racing up behind her, swearing loudly, causing her to crash - then blaming her for stopping in the trail.  Sorry if she ruined your Strava time, c**t!  (And apologies for anyone who may have heard some pretty base language at the time)

Anyway...

And a lovely Mk2 Cortina in one of the Carparks

*Disclaimer - I have nothing against Eebs at all.  Unless they're being ridden by utter dicks.
