Just trying to put together a little freeride trip around Molini, Finale etc at the end of this month

Anyone ridden this area october time. Apparently hunting day in Sunday and most operators do not ride due to high probability of being shot!!

Anyone have experiences of this?

cheers
Nick

"According to statistics published today, 35 people have also been killed in the past four months, and another 74 injured. Italy's anti-hunting league, the LAC, said all but one were hunters killed accidentally by their shooting companions.

But the 35th victim was a mushroom collector shot dead near Arezzo in Tuscany. Of the injured, 13 were also non-hunters, mostly people out for a walk in the woods or cycling down a country lane."

Or make sure you wear as much body armour as possible.

We rode every day - I think we avoided some trails on the shooting day.

The hunters here have to wear orange hi viz jackets over their camouflage clothing.

Hunting for us at Rivierabike is generally not a problem. We have access to areas where there is no hunting, this includes the higher alpine parks as well as coastal trails.

We also do our transfers on the Sunday and the Wednesday we ride where there is no hunting..

Freeride Nick, Although we have occasionally ridden the trails in Molini during hunting time (Sunday and Wednesday) generally we stay away ...It's their time to play... and with big guns!!!

Stayed with Nasher and I can honestly say it was a great place to go and ride. Saw some chaps with guns, they were pleasant, and no shots were fired. Adrian knows the area like his backyard. Get booked up with him and enjoy the eight course dinners ๐Ÿ™‚
