An "interesting" piece by Observer journo on the Guardian website. Frothing comments in 3...2...
I was beginning to wonder if they were scared to open the comments for this. They did take their time...
Also, he might now write for the Observer but his origins are much more in line with his inflammatory tripe.
It's very clearly a tongue in cheek article.
They don't allow comments overnight on new articles until their moderators have woken up and had a couple of coffees normally.
On STV recently, we were treated to a serious news item that showed how much money local authorities in Holland have spent on festooning this otherwise lovely country with cycle routes
As opposed to his non serious news article
He's not an observer journo. He's an exec editor of the Daily Mail in Scotland.
Hideously self-indulgent prose, an easy hour on the laptop in front of the telly with a glass of red.
Martin +1
But still funny to see just how wound up people get about it. Some people just need to get out and ride!
still cannot work out what is worse writing this inflammtory guff you dont really believe ..I shall call it Clarksonian prose- or getting wound up when you read it.
Well it made me laugh! Some of you on here need to lighten up.
STWers sense of humour failure. I'm shocked.

dangerous game though, if cycling was accepted then fine, but too many take clarkson and his anti cycling pro car persona at face value. They use the anti cycling articles not as entertainment but at gospel and use it to reinforce their beliefs.
