well SS is quite a dark blue... not the same as fox or acros or RaceFace blue. no blue hope bits sorry not very helpful.

edit: yes can't believe i bothered replying to this.. waiting for the rain to stop :p. only got blue 'cos no choice on those bits btw before someone calls me a hypocrit.

I can only comment on the red.. It's very similar. The Superstar red is slightly deeper in colour, but hardly noticeable.

Its a hard life. But the "just wondering" is a disclaimer that it really doesn't matter. 😉

No 10mm black ones in stock. 🙁

Don't say that, it'll go to his head.

Just dawned on me that could fit a 10mm skewer to my Pro2 Trials axle and replace the bolts.
But with blue hub and blue piston caps, I don't want to get too much of the wrong shade.

But it will be covered in mud...

Edit - silver would look ok. Shame they don't make one.
Wonder if Hope are going to start making some...

I'm pretty sure it's a decent match, can confirm tonight if need be? I've got blue SS lock rings and Hope skewers.

It doesn't matter because SS anodising wears off within 4 weeks

Think I should have maybe looked at that colour wheel thing before putting my 456 together.

Don't think a 10mm qr will fit. The end caps are the same but the inside diameter of the hub axle is too narrow as it has the threads for a 10mm bolt. You'd need to change the axle too I think.

Doh! good point Nixie.
@rse-biscuits. Stick to the M10 bolts then....

I doubt it, having spoken to a chap from Hope a couple of years ago they said that matching different batches of blue was the hardest colour to do so the odds of a match from another manufacturer strikes me as improbably or very lucky.

IR, could you not drill the hub out? or use a 9mm bolt through?

Going back to the original question, it's near enough - I use a SS 9mm skewer on a blue Pro 2, and it doesn't keep me awake at night with the clashing.
It's also nearish the cheap blue spacers (BBB?) you can find on CRC

yer if you're on bolt in i doubt you'll notice much difference going to bolt through, except easier to get the wheel out..

but... hey belt drive!

No, and different batches of Hope blue anodising do not match other batches of Hope blue anodising

have been selling Hope skewers and hubs for years, and have seen on many occasions front and rear Pro II hubs and Q/R skewers from different deliveries (batches) with slightly different shades of anodised blue..

Reasonable match, SS is slightly darker, as long there not touching I don't think you'd ever know as they look different in different lights.
