Left bike against a wall and the wind picked up and knocked it down...stanchion has a few small marks on it (rs lyrik). They can be just felt with my fingernail, but not felt by my finger tip and the fork works absolutely fine - no new noises.
Is it clear nail varnish and apply over the scratches so they have a small coating of.something over the scratched surface?
I'm fine with a Sharpie to colour it in, but I think I read somewhere of covering with some clear nail varnish to do something and I can't recall what...
I think the nail varnish was just to fill the scratch so the seal still, er, seals. Â From the way you describe the damage I'd probably just make sure the scratches were smooth and leave it. Â There were repair kits available, let me have a google

The kit uses epoxy but the process is the same with nail varnish in your favoured shade
