Specifically a carbon post in a steel frame.
Heard that you shouldn't use normal grease but can't seem to find anything definitive on copperslip
Thanks
Use carbon paste.
Tacx carbon prep, or the Pace stuff.
I know I 'should' use carbon paste, but was wondering if copperslip was a big no like normal grease?
And the frames already got a load smeared inside it, so will be a pita to clean it all up
i can't imagine it's any better than any other standard lithium or "anti seize" grease you buy for every other component that's not carbon.
The epoxy resin used in carbon components these days aren't anywhere near as easily affected as people tend to think, there are some thing you would definitely not want in there like Acetone or any form of paint stripper for example.
I used lithium grease last time on an SDG post, and i'm still here to tell the tale (post hasn't been removed for 3 or so years though)
