I'm due to be in Ambleside on Wednesday morning. Anyone know if cars are allowed in? I'm supposed to be on the road by the river that leads past Millers Bridge. Does that still exist? Is that road still usuable?
Is anyone from that area on here?
can get through to aside at the moment, the past 2 days you could get through from windermere, as far as i know the road from grasmere to keswick is still flooded out but it may have changed today so if your coming from that direction check it out. other than that you should be fine, however we are due much more rain from 5am tomorrow onwards so more flooding is confirmed. you can always jump on the bike and power through the floods like my commute.
Just seen Ambleside on the news.Wateredge Inn flooded,was in there last week enjoying a post ride pint of Bluebird. 🙁
