Heard that its been neglected for some time and not worth riding as I might get lost
Think its open but Blade uses most of the good bits and I'd recommend that
Was open end of July when I went. Did W2 instead in the pouring rain and got attacked by vast amounts of overhanging Himalayan Balsam.
Tried to ride Skyline about 2 weeks ago. As has already been mentioned, it seems to use most of Blade and the bits that split off have been a bit neglected. There is a trail closure at the end of 'On the Edge' and the diversion signs aren't very good. We ended up riding Blade plus the odd section that didn't make the extra mileage worth it (if that makes sense)
I'd recommend W2 or Y Wal plus an extra lap of Blade or Penhydd etc for added length
As said just do W2 and add the blade in if you feel up to it. Skyline is just mileage on fire track, not much to get you grinning 🙁
Technically it's open but half of the original skyline is closed. If you know it we'll and know where to go it's all perfectly rideable albeit a bit grown over in places.
