Any tips for a good place to stay in Douglas for the IOM end to end?

DO NOT STAY IN DOUGLAS-gad damm awfull place .drive up to peel & use the campsite next to the swimming pool.peel is lovely aswell .
nice pubs with food etc .plus the campsite is cheap & great facilities

We camped last time, too far out of town to be sociable, and will mean getting up even earlier on Sun morning.

We got a cheap B&B who let us keep our bikes in the lounge. Think they might have regretted it when we brought the bikes back after the event... Some good pubs near where you go to registration. We found one that was a mini shrine to Joey Dunlop. You have to get pissed the night before the ride, rich. Its the law.
