I'm sticking a new hollowtech 2 bb on my mmmbop frame.
The cups will engage on the thread inside the bb, after about 1/2 a turn they become to tight to turn by hand. I'm reluctant to get the spanner onto them as I don't want to bugger the frame or the bb. Am I just being a wuss?

Should go in smooth. Been reports of bad threads.

you should be able to screw the BB by turning it by hand until you get to the last bit where you use a spanner.
have you checked for dirt on the threads?

Cheers, looks like I'm off the lbs tomorrow then.
Thread on bb looks ok, and the thread inside the bb looks ok, but neither cup will turn more than 1/2, guess I've got a dodgy thread on the frame.
