How technical is the red XC route at Inners compared to the other Stanes reds?

Thinking I might pop along there on Saturday with the Mrs so just want to check it's not mental. Both happy enough doing the reds at the other stanes so far.

Don't remember it being massively technical, but do remember my massively unfit body struggling up the climb out of the car park!

the climb up is a bit of a slog, especially at the start.

Halfway uop is a short descent with a bombhole in it which might make you stop and think, but is actually pretty straight forward

First descent is brilliant, fast and flowing, not very technical and all the drops have alternate lines.

Second Descent is Plora Craig, there is a few techy bits, lots of rocky, paving slab sections that can be tricky but they are fine if you carry some speed.

Final descent is Caddon bank, it has three successively bigger drops near the start of the trail (the final one is a good 4 to 5 feet) there are chicken runs to the left of all three drops (personally I only ever have a go at the first one) after that its a pretty steep descent with lots of jumps and other features but they can all be rolled.

And thats your lot!

I love Inners, more fun than GT and never as busy

On top of minch moor, good times!

Its a great trail, as stumpy said there are a couple of rock step sections on the initial climb at the start which are cheekier than your average red Trail climb IMO but are a good challenge to blow away the cob webs.

Plora Craig was a lot more technical hence its black rated section.

Can't wait to get back up there again, Minch Moor descent is so fast, defo one of mr favourite decents. I might not wear the fat suit next time though in 30 degree heat.

Caddon bank is worth going there on it's own. One of the best sections of man made trail in the UK. It's like a roller coaster ride on a mountain bike.

There's nothing to worry about on the XC trails, anything of any note has a chicken run. Like richmtb says, the 3rd drop on Caddon bank is pretty big for a XC drop. Go, you'll love it.

It has the best runout/landing/whatever out of the three I think though. Pretty smooth.
