Hi all,

Bit of a bad do as my first post, I'm struggling to find the correct rear caliper for my SS Inbred. I bought an IS no.3 caliper which fits the front fine but won't go on the back (chainstay).
I called OnOne/Planet X and hnest to god it was the worst customer service call I've ever had the misfortune to be on the end of. 'er they all fit mate' 'sorry but they don't' 'yes they do' 'cheers-dialtone'

After looking i think an IS no5 might go on ? Would prefer direct fit rather than bracketed, will be running a 160mm disc.

Cheers Phil

IS calipers are sized to the disc.

No 3 is for 160 rear or 180 front IIRC

Edit - MRs TJ has a mini on the rear of her inbred and it is a no 3 caliper onv a 160 disc

yes they do' 'cheers-dialtone'

they don't!!

There used to be a little bit of blurb on the slotty dropout description page saying beware not all callipers fit especially 'old' xtr. I had a bit of a mission getting a bb7 in there, involving careful helitaping and setting the pads really far out and the 'arm' 1/3 way in to get it to fit in the rear triangle.

Still a great system though: all the benefits of slot drops/chain tugs without the braking forces levering the axle out of the back on the disc side. Suprised no one else does similar really.
