because wearing a strange exploding airbag scarf is so much easier than a helmet

Interesting.
Did they steal the "music" from an episode of Quincy m.d. or the A team?

Is it wrong that I actually quite like this?

I mean, not right now for 300E, but for 150E with a 20E a year policy?

I'd like to see it on some crash dummies vs normal helmets.

That deployed a bit easily he didn't even bump his head and wouldn't have died horribly if he hadn't been without helmet.

Can you fold it up and use again?

As it stands at the minute it kind of strikes me as a solution looking for a problem. But I could see it being useful if it was intergrated into a full face helmet, and when deployed it provided a neck brace or shoulder protection.

send it back to Sweden for replacement. So you have to own at least two really. It's an impressive business model.

So what actually makes it go off then - seems a sudden shock does it.

If that's the case it would go off on almost ever ride I do so wouldn't be suitable for mountain biking.

I'm constantly riding my bike, shoulder (or other body parts) into trees and logs, badly landing from jumps, hitting the face of doubles, falling off etc. All achieved without needing head protection.

Times I have needed a helmet have been when hitting low hanging branches with my head, in which case this thing would not help.

It's designed for road/urban use where a collision is the exception, not the norm.

Funny that.. I presume he then has to ride off with his big white Elvis wig, or no protection. 😆

Yeah still don't really get it, looks bulkier than a normal helmet, would probably not do that well left hanging on the bars and if it falls off your cafe table it probably goes off too 🙂

Well, you'd undo the zip and that deactivates it.

The idea is as he says; it won't ruin your hair.

I know a lot of girls with long hair that would buy this.

I am glad that I watched that inflatable bike helmet accidentally deploy. I shall not be making time for any others today.

Great work in designing and building it.
Easier to pop the helmet on, and I'm guessing it'll cost £500.
Shirley an easier solution is to design a helmet with your preferred hairstyle cast into the foam.
Maybe put in hair drying channels, have shower, ride to work, hair is perfect.
Sorted

Edit €350 is not bad (still never buying it obvs)
