Hi.

I have a 6 month old SRAM X1 rear mech on my SC Nomad. Couple of weeks ago it suddenly started to feel pretty rough when sitting in the 3rd or 4th cog up from the bottom. I tried to have a tinker with it last night and I can't get those gears to run smoothly for love nor money, unless it's at the expense of knocking out the tuning of the highest and lowest sprockets.

It's not the mech hanger as I tried my brand new spare to make sure. The mech cage doesn't look bent, and there is no sign of me having hit it on a rock or anything. The chain is not worn as I checked this too.

I have tried adjusting the limits at the lowest and highest sprockets. I've also been trying to very finely tune cable tension and it seems that one click on the barrel adjuster can be the difference between the chain not wanting to move up in those middle cogs, and then not wanting to come down.

Could this be a cable movement issue? I would have thought that would be unlikely given it is in the middle of the range where there is a decent amount of tension loaded.

Anyone else had issues like this with SRAM 11sp?

If anyone has any advice that would be grand!

Cheers
