...tyres.
Seems that 12 on bikes, 13 here, 2 slicks in shed and 3 in the bin today means I'm wrong.
Anyone want any summer tyres....?

The perils of a biking family..... I'm envious of how few you have 🙂

Yep, I have a pile in the loft. Remember when onone sold loads of Scwhalbe cheap, something like 4 for the normal price of one, and crc would occasionally knock out good tyres for a tenner, we'll I bought them up. So as well as a pile I sometimes find a box full of new boxed unused tyres. I don't seem to get through them as quick as I thought I would!

Those Bonty ones with the tiny knobbles... they any good?
My son rides to college every day and likes something summer-ish in the tyre department... His current combo are looking a bit long in the tooth. Oh needs 29s.

I used to be really bad for stockpiling tyres, but have rehabilitated myself. Bining piles of tubelss tyres that were beyond repair because im never realistically going to bother running them with a tube.

And the occasional offer on new tyres like specialized recent 50% off prompts replacing rather than stockpiling. I just kept one old part worn front tyre as an emergency spare.

I went mad 18months ago and stockpiled 26” tyres when maxxis stopped distributing in the uk, fearing for the life of my poor old fashioned bike. Couple of mates have also left the 26 aint dead stable and made donations of their spares. I now have nearly 20 26” tyres of varying flavours for a bike I use a handful of times a year... 🤷‍♂️

I use masking tape or insulation tape. Secure and easy to rip when required.
