Just went out to take the bike for a pootle, bent down to pick up my pump I had dropped near the rear wheel when the valve decides to fail and fire a small piece of metal at my face missing me by inches.
I think my bike hates me......this is the third tube in weeks

Was the shop you bought it from built on an Indian burial ground?
Was this the guy who sold it to you?
