Morning all,
I'm in the process of upgrading the brakes on one bike, XT M8000, and will be handing these down to my new to me hardtail which came with an XT 12 speed gearing and MT410 brakes. My preference is for an I-Spec which I find cleaner for the bars however the 12 speed shifter is not compatible I-Spec EV whereas the brakes are I-Spec II.
After some trawling, I found this thread on MTBR which advised getting this Wolf Tooth Shift Mount. In the same thread, someone suggested you could just use an I-Spec II adapter on the EV shifter instead.
Does anyone know if this is the case or of any other solutions?
I managed to use the Shimano part below to mount a 12 speed xt shifter to some mt501 ispec ii levers. Worked fined for 2 years until the levers died and replaced them with some slx m7100 - made that work by removing this part and bolting the shifter directly on to the lever.

Neat - didn’t know Shimano made them.
I had the same problem last year and bought the wolf tooth shift mount which worked great. Swapped the brakes recently so it’s sitting in a spares box somewhere now…
