So my new bike only has the one bottle cage mount. Fine normally but I'll be doing the Brecon Beast at the weekend so I reckon I'll need more than just the one bottle, and I really don't want to take a camelbak round.
So are there any good adaptors for say the seatpost that will take a cage, and are there any to recommend?
(Anyone know if there are feed stations round the Beast, and where exactly and what they'll have?)
yes they usually have feed stations I think there are 2 on the shorter and 3 on the longer routes (I maybe wrong)
Usually big drums of SIS and bananas
If there's two feed stations on the short one, you'd get round with one bottle. (Think it took me three hours last year, so that would be a bottle an hour roughly?)
That's assuming you do the short one! ๐
Oh, and Decathlon do bottle mount things that atatch to frame or seat post...
On the short route there's a feed station at the bottom of the gap climb and another along the fireroad before you cross the road by Torpantau. You should be fine.
Looks like I'm doing it on a patriot this year, joy ๐
Topeak do one that'll fit on the bars or seatpost

As above except that word on the street is that this year the short route misses the Gap and rides the normally 'off-limits' Fan Gyrhirych. There is bound to be a feed station, I'd suggest it would be at the bottom of the Fan G climb, at SN 896 223. Don't quote me on it, but that's where I'd put one.
FWIW I regularly drink from the streams in the area.
