I have a BFe at the moment which I love but I'd like to buy a frame thats a litte more comfortbale for all day rides so I can swap the majority of bits over as and when I want, the Soul is the obvious answer but its twice what I want to pay so is there an alternative?
second hand soul?
What length forks you going to be swapping frame to frame?
Good point, forks are 150mm rockshox revelations...
To be honest, I keep eyeing up a Radon on bike-discount.de which is around £700 and looks like the best solution...
Secondhand Pipedream Serious or Genesis Altitude /Latitude if you want steel. Or consider an On One Scandal, which are meant to be fairly forgiving for an aluminium frame.
Ignore I just read 150mm forks!! If you are considering a full bike look at the offers on Paul cycles. The were some good deals on Cubes last time I looked.
Carbon 456, I think you will ned quite a number of other components but would ease the swap time, however I think you would end up with 2 bikes designed for kinda the same thing but one a couple of lb's lighter.
Maybe you just need a set of shorter forks for the BFE, to change that into more XC guise.

try a longer stem
(i'm guessing you've got a short stem on the BFe)
