Whats this bike worth then (sorry).
I have a 'mate' thats wants a new bike, I have a few spare, so it could be an opportunity to sell one, the thing is I don't need the money & I probably would regret selling it if it wasn't for the 'right' money, hell I probably will regret it anyway, but how many bikes do I need sitting in the loft?.
Its a 2003/4 Azonic propulsion, I have just had it powder coated in white with new bearings on the frame, & the brake bosses removed, so it looks spanking new. I also have just had a new fox propedal shock from another bike put on it, so it's as good as new really.
The rest of the bits are in really good nick, as new generic shimano hubs on WTB rims with new tires (wire), 2004 maz marathon forks, as new hope headset & seatclamp, thomson setback post, raceface bars & stem, Truvative cranks & 32 special chain device, XT mech & shifter. The only downside is I want to swap out the brakes & use some old C2's I have on another bike, as I think I could use the M4's that are currently on it on another bike.
So, what do you think its real worth is? I reckon you could buy an off the peg bike with similar spec for about £1300, this would of cost about £2.5K to build, is it worth more than £500?

Cheers in advance.

Cheers for the reply, I know most see this a thinly disguised ad, but it's not, I have no need to sell it.
It's like anything you granny has in the loft, it probably cost loads back in the day, but worthless now, I found an old iron in the loft when I moved in, I think he still might be up there living off the cold water tank...

Why on earth do you keep your bikes in the loft? We are talking about upstairs, then up the ladder through the ceiling hatch thing..? Dont think you could even fit a bike through our hatch thing..

I can get them through the hatch if I take the wheels off, then put them back on-on the other side, it makes me happy to go in the loft for mundane reasons...
