[Closed] How worried would you be - stripped frames in alley behind your house?

First daylight ride for some time, find 4 frames partially stripped in the alley behind my house, 3 budget no names and 1 older kona lava dome. Looks like opportunistic tea leaves to me (professionals wouldn't strip an apollo?)

Thinking said tea leaves must live in the area as to transport 8 wheels, 4 forks etc would not be easy

Not too happy but not sure what I can do?

I'm insured, alarmed and have gold standard chain/locks. Now I am paranoid about being spotted by thieves leaving the house on the mtb

You need to buy yourself a (guard) dog and then start a "show us your dogs" thread on here - nothing sorts out the world's problems like a good dog thread.

Sadly wife is allergic so dogs not an option ๐Ÿ™

Maybe I could wire the frames to the mains too.

Let's hope they're not members here, as they'll know where you live now!

Wouldn't matter if the OP had a vicious Glaswegian Hamster though would it?

It could always be a lazy neighbour clearing out old frames from the shed/cellar/loft and couldn't be bothered driving to the tip. Any recentish new neighbours who've found a pile of old scrap left by the previous owners and dumped it?

As above though, that old Kona needs a new lease of life.

on the plus side, if your bike does get nicked, you won't need to buy a new frame ๐Ÿ™‚

Keep dog in shed and wife in house.

Wife won't go near shed which means you can buy all the spangly bikes and bits you can dream of without her finding them ๐Ÿ™‚

Simples.

Some truely inspired ideas on here - why did I not think of them?

Off to google 'vicious guard hamsters'
