[Closed] how wide are your bars?

550 on one, including the width of the bar end clamps, 520 on the other, which doesn't have them. Lot narrower than most people on here, but it seems plenty wide enough to me [5'11, arm span about the same]. Get through those width restricters nicely and I don't notice any lack of control. Easier through the trees as well. The second bike came with a full width pair, about three miles into the first ride I slid the grips and levers in and cut the surplus off as soon as I got back.

Mine were 745:

They felt great, but I was a little close to trees on local, tight & twisty singletrack so I cut them down to a more manageable 725 yesterday.

400 aracer?, wow you've taken things quite far!
Is this 400 on a drop bar?-if so I take it you're on the short side
Is this 400 on a flat bar? if so I take it you wear your sisters jeans ๐Ÿ˜€

๐Ÿ˜† isn't that actually a bit wide for fakengers?

Average height - I'm fairly slight though, and it's just what I've always had and got used to. Not like it's that peculiar, just the narrowest of 3 standard options.

710 here, makes things so much more sure-footed than my previous 640s

Shameless I've got some cheap 710 sunlines for sale on the classifieds plug. Only selling as I prefer lower rise bars on my bikes but these would be a great way for someone to try some wider bars out and see what they reckon.

27" on the XCish bike
28" on the 5 inch full susser
30" on the DH bike.

Having said that I'm not wee. I think 14 year olds who weigh about as much as my right leg running 30" bars is just plain silly.

Carbon low rise 710mm on my Ti456. Feel very planted with them but don't think I'd want anything wider from a twisty tree lined singletrack prespective. Once you are having to change your lines to accomodate your bars things have got a little silly.

The Niner Sir9 I'm sloooooowly building up with an Alfine hub (might be finished just in time to put it away for the summer!) is going to be a long distance bridlway basher so is going to be a little more head down, arse up. Thinking norrower flat bars with bar ends (well, those ergon gc2 things). got to do something to make them look visually different enough to justify owning both!
