I think it was via a 3rd party website last year.

Certainly was straightforward.

WTF?

Royanne Uni

Easy peasy to enter but places are going fast, especially from the major centres.

WTF?

Not the first time the site's crashed when registration opens. Don't worry, they'll sort it out in a few days.

You'd have thought they'd take this sort of thing into consideration before hosting it on a mobile phone...

So, to hang around and keep trying in the hope that I can log on in a few minutes, or to go and do something productive, and see what the situation is later today?

Anybody managed to complete registration before it all went tits up?

How fast does it sell out?

I registered at 9.05 for Les Gets on the sunday and 70 places had already gone. So pretty quick for some places. No one seemed to have chosen Avoriaz though so there is likely to be options still available.

In 2008 we bought Sunday tickets from Torgon 2 weeks after registration opened (bit rubbish as a start point but better than nothing). Les Gets/Morzine and Chatel will all sell out today I think, I suspect Saturday will sell out first, then Sunday and finally Friday. I am trying for Champery or Morgins.

Got a confirmation email, another saying that they've taken my money.

But it's all a bit of a shambles, same as every year.

On a slightly more helpful note than "bazinga!"..... there looked like there was plenty of availability - Morzine on the friday said 685 or something like that

ikimbunza - I'm sure you'll find someone to tag along with, just get to lift early and ask around. I'm riding for Team Normal No Mates too (Saturday from Champery) as my friends want to do their Alps trip in mid-July

That worked better that time. 4 riders, Saturday, Chatel. Can't believe I had to book for two people that live in Chatel.

ikimbunza, we'll be a scruffy bunch of 6 mainly grumpy Yorkshire-men starting out of Chatel at about 8 am on the Friday if you want to look out for us, I've a blue Orange 5 (compulsory Yorkshire bike of course!)and number 728.

Fantastic, thanks for the offer. Email in my profile.

I got 7 in for Les Gets Friday - finally. Touch and go, as each time I registered the next rider the number of spaces dropped loads.

Quite why you would enter more than one rider at a differen start point Ive no idea. Anyway, panic over, we are in.

Do you think we should have a mass STW Pint-athon in Chatel?

We are doing it on Saturday morning, but it might be good laugh to meet for a pint at some point over the weekend?

Champery all days 199, 51 and 203
Crosets All days 163, 126, 162
Lindaret Fri (157) and Sun (89)
Morgin Fri (180) and Sun (195)

We started Champery last year. Village nice, but a bit dull. Also, doing that ****ing DH run at the end of the day was a bit terrifying for a mince-core big jessie like me.

****ing Nora that was steep!
