Using a 28c in a 33c tyre level stretchy? Can’t seem to find anything bigger than 28c so assume they must be fine?

No problem. Stretchier than a stretchy thing!

Good news then! Was concerned by the thin walls, but i’ll crack on in that case!

I'd heard folks moan about the fragility of latex tubes !!

I'd fitted latex tubes to my Sunday best wheels few years ago and hadn't noticed a tiny bit of the tube had popped out between tyre/rim 😳

I proceeded to pump it too 100psi and only on spinning the wheel I noticed .. It held fine no drama.. Quickly deflated and sorted and not a puncture in over a year before switching to tubeless ..

Latex tubes are great but yes, they are so flexible that they will seek out and herniate from the smallest hole in your tyre that a butyl tube would bridge. You will hear a loud crack then an obscene farting whistling noise as the air runs out.

I was messing around with a latex tube recently when my cat took a swipe at it; her claw went straight though it!

But the ride quality and the amazing noise make them worthwhile.

I'd use a normal tube for that, no worries. I used to use 1.5" tubes in 2.2" tyres all the time.

Not sure I get you, or are you not talking about latex tubes at all?
