Some decent flat pedals. DMR V12 or V8 are popular. Superstar components do some nice ones for sensible money. here is a link

A plastic card in the spokes so it sounds like a motorbike?

Hi James

I'm not convinvced everyone here is being entirely straightforward with you.

If we're talking things like chainstay protectors then, OK.

A section of inner-tube or tyre wrapped and zip-tied to the chainstay would protect the paintwork and pieces of electrical tape where cables/hoses rub will do the same.

You can buy chainstay protectors and special patches/tape but why go to the expense?

If you're looking to ride jumps, pedals with proper pins (like the DMRs) and lock-on grips (as suggested above) look like a sensible upgrade too.

Have another flick through the Argos catalogue, they're bound to sell some quality accessories for their bikes.

Tassels, lots and lots of tassels.

I find these ones work the best!

Have I made the assumption that people posting on here are generally genuine?

I notice that James seems to have some form.

If he is genuine he ought to catch on a little quicker.

Yhyh, i am looking for some, but the isnt between the fork and tyre and the back and tyre 🙁 so i'm looking at some kenda K Rad, they are nubbly but small, which would fit.

1st tyres - if your struggling for space ask some riding buddies for their worn out ones to see what fits (don't try riding with them though!).

Once thats done youve got 2 choices IMO.

1 - upgrade everything in turn, as it wears out.

2 - buy a new frame, get a knowlagable buddy (anyone off here will probably lend a hand) to transfer 90% of the bits accross, the remaing 10% wont fit so budget for replacing those. Something like an On-one inbred or 456 will only be £120 or so, even less secondhand and give you a better base to start from.

If I were you I'd fit new tyres, propper good ones, not k-rad's, tehn leave the rest, save up the money and get something else in the sales early 2012, by which point most of your (or any) bike will need replaceing. That way you'll have a years riding under your belt and be in a better position to answer the questions yourself.

After all, no point buying £400 SID's now, only to be thinking in 12 months "I wish I'd bought lyriks".

Superstar components do some nice ones

I got some nanotech flats from Superstar Components and they're great with some nice scateboarding trainers from tkmaxx. I upgraded forks, stem, bars, rear shock, tyres, wheels in that order but that's what me and my bike needed at the time.

Think what kind of riding you want to do and where your bike needs upgrades the most and take it from there would be my suggestion. I've found that upgrading major parts has made a much bigger difference than I thought and is definitely worth it.
