Who started this then?
I thought it was the done thing (on here) to refer to road biking as above and I have been swiftly corrected today!!
I couldnt really care less as I ride both MTB and road bike, but a few people seem to be getting rather upset when the above term is used.
Does it really matter, really, really?

I think it's stupid. Oh and if anything, road bikers are the poncey "light side" 😛
I say this as someone who rides his road bike far more often than his mtb 0_0
It's a bit lazy and clichéed, but apart from that I personally can't see anything particularly wrong with "darkside". Still, some people like to get worked up about silly things.
Go on a Roadie forum and Mountain Biking is refered to as the Darkside.
Doesn't matter what it's called, it's all riding bikes. Annoys me when people have a hatred/ dislike to the other disipline though, whether thats road or mtb. 👿
