I visited Escape Route in Pitlochry today. The proprietor, Kevin Dangerous, produced a newspaper cutting documenting his and Stuart Dangerous's ascent of Lochnagar by bike on midsummers night in 1986. Staurt was 17, Kevin 14!

Dear Carlton, Is this a record?

that is presumably Carlton Reid!

and the answer to the original question is probably about 32 on Mt Keen so you certainly have me beaten!

Kevin Dangerous, total legend! I remember his breaking his brothers Tioga Disk Drive rear wheel at a Scottish Downhill event in about......199? I think he was riding the 'Rapid Rigid' category as well!

Haha.

Mount Keen was my first one I think - circa 2001 or so.

Probably Mount Keen for me too on the day of the solar eclipse a few years back. Lots of carrying from Glen Tanar.

Have walked all of them though...

Ben Lomond aged around 19.

I too have walked all of them. Looking forward to spending a lot more time exploring the quieter parts of them too.

Ben Lomond, Feb '87 aged 19.

"biked" up may be stretching it a bit. Ye olde rigid Rockhopper was firmly strapped to the pack's crampon loops for most of the ascent. I seem to recall having to kick steps in the snow up to the summit ridge and then bum slide down to the shoulder 'cos it was unrideable. One of those days when the sky and ground were the same off white colour with no reference points. Found out cromo bars swing a compass a fair bit too.

I'm 42 now and spend more time on here than doing any of that kind of nonsense.

Naw - there were two which were being considered a couple of years ago but they didn't measure up - the square mileage of midge-infested bog was insufficient.

They actually removed one from the list this year, so there are only 283 to be done now. ****in' lightweights.
