He's probably down to his last few with stock on order. It's much easier to put your price up and hope they don't sell while you get new stock in. If you sell out on eBay you have to start a new listing.

@Houns have you tried direct from manufacturer? I just bought a wahoo snap direct from them as no stock anywhere else. Came quick, from Europe with all duty etc sorted by them so was no faff.

I am torn on the whole 'covid tax' on items. On one hand, good on people for trying to make a few quid, on the other, why are people so greedy?

I was after a new frame as mine broke (thankfully being replaced under warranty), so was on the look out. Saw a Privateer 141 frame on pinkbike, was some £600 over retail. I know they are out of stock at the moment, so its a sellers market, but its just a rip-off.

I did message and enquire what else i would be getting with it (surely some forks or a drivetrain?!), and that i was open to pay a bit over the odds due to the situation, but alas, no reply from the seller.

but yeah.... some things are crazy at the moment.

I was convinced this thread was going to be about the ti frame in the classifieds. Got an identical one off here in lockdown 1 for less than half that!

My mate bought a Wahoo Kickr from the manufacturer last month, at RRP. It was their UK site and he paid in £ but it came from America. He went for £50 for express delivery and it came within two days.

Elite Direto in stock at Wiggle.
Wahoo Kickr Core comes into stock pretty often on their own website.

I bought a recon Kickr Core for £599 earlier this month- they've (recon units) been in stock on at least 2 occasions this month. Keep a daily look out, or maybe email them.

These are silly money but Woodrups seem to get pretty regular stock of some trainers
