Should finally get around to getting my shock serviced really, how do I go about removing it? Had a quick google but couldn't find anything.

erm, undo the bolts. 6mm hex for the top bolt, 4mm hex and 12/13/14 (can't remember exactly) spanner for the lower. Make sure you catch the washers, too.

Thanks, was just wondering if there was anything more to it. I don't need to take the pressure out of the shock or anything?

nope comes out easily just Dont loose the bolts or washers take the rear wheel out to release some pressure

Is it an air shock?
Why not service it yourself?
Dead easy to do.
