As above this has been neglected for the past 6 months if not more as I wasn't getting a lot of night riding done. Now looking to get back into itand wanting to rejevenate the battery. Has anyone any tips or experience in doing this that they can pass on?

you'll just have to stick it on charge and see how it runs. it 'might' be ok after a couple of cycles. just make sure you don't discharge it completely. otherwise you may have a dead cell or two in there if it has gone completely flat. best bet at that point is to contact Smudge on here for a replacement. folk seem happy with what he's done for them.

Batteries work better when cold, so once charged keep them cold (fridge usullay works) - i've found that batteries I have in my jersey pocket don't work as well compared to batteries that have been kept in my pack

no. nimh batteries should be stored charged and at room temperature. li-ion packs should be stored cool and partly charged ( or partly discharged, however you like to look at it. )

You don't, you just buy a new one.
