I am booked on a uplift day at llangollen and just wondering the level of difficulty there.
The NPS track does look pretty much insane, i think i'd be best leaving that to dry dusty summer. The other tracks, how technically challenging are they? Are they that steep?
Seen some recent helmet cam footage and people are falling for no obvious reason other than lack of commitment, was it genuinely people not committing or are there genuinely places that are that steep and difficult?
What's the place like to ride in the wet? Grease fest or deep and soft that if you attack grips well?
It's all steep. The woods track is the hardest but even the main line out in the open is very steep in places. If you're ok with steep bits then it should be fine.
As above, it's pretty steep for the UK. You do just need to commit to sections. On the open track the second traverse is pretty fast & the braking bumps/compression just before the left hander with the tight drop on it are harsh as hell.
The have built a few more tracks now though I see, which are a lot tamer and longer.
I have always found the worst bit is the last 3 stepdowns. You gain a huge amount of speed off the first one if you hit it fast enough, the second is only little & the third is a bloody awful flat landing flat out into the field.
