Has anyone tried to upgrade the LEDs in a vision 2? Currently it has two LED with an output of 480 lumens. Is it possible to swap out the LED for new brighter ones without needing new battery or having to mess about with the wiring?

Thats the MkII version isn't it? I replaced the luxeon leds in my original Hope twin LED with cree mce's giving it much more umpf, you might be able to do something similar. As the crees were 4 leds on 1 die I was able to wire them in such a way that they needed the same input voltage and the luxeons. There should be a build thread in my old forum history.
Yep it is the MKII. I am not sure what LED the MKII has and what would be a suitable upgrade. Do you have any suggestions? I will look in your history, cheers
