looking at getting some new wheels but not sure hope rims or stans flow mk3 on hope pro4 hubs
any thoughts on the rim choice i already run stans flow ex and love them
Flow are wider internally I think
Aside from them being tough I don't get why people like Hope rims so much. They're heavy, narrow and from what I've seen can be a pain to get tubeless tyres to seal properly. Never had any issues with Stan's rims, I'll be getting some new MK3 Arch EX's on PRO4's when my cycle to work voucher comes up again in January.
Got some Flow MK3s from JRA, great rims great profile look awesome.
I went for flow mk3 on the front and arch mk3 on the rear with hope hubs. Don't normally likely decals on rims but the font is awesome and for some reason look ahead of their time without looking naff.
Had a look at the Hope hoops but they didn't really have much going for them other than being Hope. Had flow exs on my previous bike and they always performed well and tyre installs always went easy.
I think Hope have some new rims due soon. Their current/original ones are a bit skinny and tubeless difficult - a mate switched from 26 Flow EX to 27.5 Hope Enduro and was not impressed.
