I'm hoping someone can advise, not got the bike yet.
my bike has 1x11 NX shifters, they look to have a bar clamp, anyone know if this removable so i can attach directly to hope tech3 levers, if so do i need an adaptor/cover. , bike currently has sram level brakes i will take off and sell as new. [stealth adv ;0) ]
looking on hope site i guess i need HBSP325 RH to fix the shifter.
if i cant fix direct, for the neater look is the GX shifter (£30) a worthwhile upgrade they dont look to have the bar clamp attached.. will it be a big improvement over the regular NX..
or should i wait and upgrade to sram eagle in a few years time.
anyone.. someone must be running hope on NX 11s or GX 11s
I've now seen other pictures of the NX 11s shifter that doesnt have the clamp attached, so i may get lucky
Looking on Sram site the shifter clamp is intergrated on the NX so you'll not be able to remove it and reading what you want to do will need to upgrade the shifter to GX at least. I've not seen NX without the intergrated clamp
for £30 if you want a neat look it's not the end of the world. Is it worth it?? I've not used NX so wouldn't know but I guess you'd not really notice tbh, but might not be as smooth for as long as GX.
The GX would be compatable with the Hope/SRAM matchmaker afaik for the 1x clamp but brake and shifter mounted as 1

If you do replace the NX, skip the GX version (though there's nothing wrong with it), and get the X1 version. Only about £10 more if I remember, and (in my opinion) feels nicer. YMMV, of course...
Thanks guys, it seems the gx is £30 and the x1 £48 so think I’ll wait and see what arrives on the bike,
can order the brakes and attach them so the bike is good to go with the NX shifter .
