I pulled the old cassette off the other day to fit an SS cog and spacers.. the freehub came away and I pushed it all back into place.. all seems OK other than this gap..
It's not neat and tidy and I do not like it 😕
Have I botched something up or is just the way it is..?

i think you have the ss apcer on the wrong way around though
I've got one that looks just like that, so far I have not died.
Interesting spacers BTW...
Looks fine to me, spacers look to be at the bottom of the freehub splines.
Also spacers look to be on correctly.
Can you see if the dust seal that protects the Pawls is pushed home and correctly seated?
Yeah.. the spacers are on well and the right way around.. The dust seal is correctly seated on the freehub body..
I just wondered if it had to be (more) correctly seated into the hub...
