Are they the same diameter? I've got a set of Goodridge cables for brakes I don't have any more - I thought maybe I could buy some Hope fittings and put them on my Mono minis - what do we think?
Don't Goodridge do fitting kits for Hopes?
just measure the external diameter of both
Goodridge is 7mm Hope is 5.5mm
You can get the olive on if you cut and peel the plastic off the outside of the hose.
To all intents & purposes, Hope and Goodridge braided hoses are the same, so you could use your old fittings too, though new olives will make it far easier, and depending on their age, you may need new compression nuts as they were originally different for braided and standard hose (hole marginally too small to fit over it, and denoted by either 2 flats,or a hex),but later ones were universal (and don't quote me, but I'm fairly sure they've gone back to hose-specific ones again).
