As already said, amazing demand for these kind of events. Noting that the Roadies Dragon Ride sold out (2,000 places?) in less than 2 hrs too.
In at number 1051. Great to see it going from strength to strength, why aren't more people organising events like this round the UK?
The answer is that there is very little in the way of an mtb club structure, so who would do the marshalling? CC-CC and winchcombe are road clubs that started riding off road so organising events is normal. Think about who you need to talk to the police etc. In a club money isn't needed to pay people so costs can be kept down, and looking at how fast it sold out i guess the club could get away with charging a fair bit more, supply and demand....
