I've inherited a bike with hone cranks. Trouble is the plastic end cap / preload cap is chewed right up. It appears to be a different size from all other shimano ones. I can't find one anywhere. Any ideas where I can buy a replacement?

Try your LBS, Madison has them in stock, £2.99rrp, part no. 1F8 1110, listed there as crank arm cap for FC-M582(also same as FC-M760 and FC-M770 if that helps ordering elsewhere).
