50/50 dilution of your favourite fruit juice and water with 1/5 of a teaspoon of water per litre.

For more of a hydration drink put in more water, for more of an energy drink use more fruit juice.

Also good with [s]flat coke[/s] Pastis.

There is a BIG difference between "Energy Drink" and "ISOTONIC."

Energy drink = Red bull style drink
Isotonic = Lucozade Sport style drink

The above recipes are for ISOTONIC drinks. (but the posters forgot to put in salt.)

If you want an ENERGY drink then mix a strong cup of coffee with breast milk ( thats Caffeine and taurine in technical speak.)

Good luck.

roadie in denial - 1/5 of a teaspoon of salt? not water? can't tell if its a joke in there or whether you wrote the wrong thing.

Energy in this context doesn't mean caffiene, although it can help. It should mean some carbohydrate content which will actually give your tired muscles something to work on rather than just keep you awake. If you go to myprotein.co.uk you can get a huge sack of maltodextrin for about 12 quid. That's the carb ingredient for all the energy drinks on the market. Mix that with squash for flavour, maybe some salt or drop in a High 5 Zero tablet to give you the electrolytes.

Malt loaf's my favourite 'energy bar' as it's brilliant low-fat carbs. How thick is it when you've blended it - can you drink it from a bike bottle or camelback with gumming them up?

fily5bellies

How do you know what he does or doesnt want?

The guy asked for an energy drink recipe. I gave him one.

Granted getting breast milk might be a problem but he didnt ask for a carbo drink. He asked for an energy drink.

Oh and why doesnt energy mean caffeine in this context? You dont know the context.

I stand corrected. I meant to write 1/5 of a teaspoon of salt per litre. That's what I get for speed typing and not proof reading what I've written. Apologies.

Fill a kilner jar with sloes. Pour sugar into it till about half way up the jar. Top up with gin or vodka.

Leave for at least three months - if you can wait that long.

Rocket fuel I tell you.

What do you mean it's not energy drink - it's got sugar in it.
