Can you run them with only two spacers on a 68mm shell, one on each side, for a better chainline?
I don't want to run two on the non drive side as the bike is singlespeed and i think there will be two much torque on the few remaining threads on the non drive side.

I believe the spacers are about maintaining chain lines so if you wanted to remove a spacer there should be no reaons, the problem would be adding spacers, reducing the thread.

No problems I did this on a single speed bike a few year ago and on my 1x9 speed bike.
