I have a week off at the beginning of August. I am not wanting to spend too much time in the car and was wondering about a destination about up 4ish hours from Calais.
I don't have a very good thumb at the moment, so am lookin at moderate(read tame) offroad and road rides with GF.
I can't remember if the coast is a bit flat around Dieppe.
Any ideas greatfully received.

Suisse Normandy. Lots of pretty villages, cider/calvados tours, places to visit on coast such as Honfleur or Deauville also WW2 landing beaches etc. XC biking with some reasonable hills if you care, trail maps are available at tourist offices.
