Can anyone recommend a good hip flask?

For a flask that's actually going to be used in the field, rather than given as an ornamental 18th-birthday present, what should one be looking for?

Ta!

I have a Jamesons one and the STW one. Both are pretty good in my opinion. I keep them in my bag mind rather than in a Aherne cage.

Found the Surly/Ahearne ones via a google search, as you reminded me I fancy one for those cold night rides.

As I just want one to hold drink and not a "look at me" item, would anyone recommend anything larger than a 6oz or a cheap ebay chinese one?

I bought a cheap one off the bay, I know I should tar them all with the same brush, but it was a bit crap, the cottony stuuf in the cap came out into the whiskey and it leaked. Wasn't impressed.

The Surly ones are good a lad I ride with occasionally uses his.

I got mine from here,(but can't see it)

Make sure it has a 'captive' top. Most any of them are fine - no need to spend daft money on a branded cyclist one - Surly make bikes and STW make magazines - not hip flasks!

I'v got one for sale. My Wife bought it for me.

Its got the freemasons insignia engraved on it, and the inscription
"together forever"

She got a bit confused when ordering it. Its Unused and still in the box. I hope someday to find someone who is a freemason who wants to be with them forever.

I bought a Jack Daniels one complete with 2 metal shot containers.
It is good quality and was reduced from £30 to £9!
